Sometimes we don’t know what we’re capable of until we face it head-on. Parenting may seem overwhelming to you – you are not alone. Many women have faced this hard decision right where you are. Know that parenting is not impossible with the right support around you. Though it’s not always easy, there are great rewards that come with choosing to parent.
The decision to parent is ultimately yours to make, and we are here to better inform you about this choice.
Questions To Ask Yourself
Many people ask themselves the hard questions when faced with an unplanned pregnancy. It’s a must when faced with such a life-altering choice. Some great questions to consider asking yourself right now include:
- Will my partner support me?
- Will I continue school or work?
- What kind of resources are around me?
- Can I financially support a child?
- Will my family or friends help support me?
All of these questions are valid and important to consider before making up your mind about parenting. Though some of these may seem impossible to answer right now, talk to our compassionate team to learn about the free resources available to you today.
Parenting While In School
It’s important to understand that the law is on your side as a student. There should be no pressure from your classmates or teachers to choose any choice in your pregnancy journey.
Although you have the choice, an abortion is not necessary to continue your education or stay in school. No school is allowed to discriminate against you because of your pregnancy decision, and resources are available to help you continue achieving your academic goals.

The HOPE Chest
